This plan will create a community vision for Shaker Square, drawing a roadmap for the Square’s future. Taking into account the realities of the current marketplace, this plan will explore several different ideas for the square.  

 The study aims to determine the best future for the Square based on the community’s interests and the development and retail opportunities. The vision plan will build on insights from the 2019 planning study, focusing on concepts that currently resonate with the community.

The new study will investigate marketplace strategies and public realm designs that support surrounding businesses and position Shaker Square as a regional destination and local hub.

On September 19th, neighbors and merchants gathered for an open house where we discussed the retail strategy recommendations and public space ideas to make sure the Square is successful and thriving now and into the future.
